Woah, never eaten Somali food before. I walked in because it was the closest restaurant. The soup and chicken over rice were absolutely delicious. Everything tastes homemade and nutritious, and the prices are very reasonable.

I’ve been a regular at Zuhur ever since I came across it by accident as it’s one of the best (African) restaurants in Edmonton. Service is always great as they let me know what they don’t have in stock and they explain the different types of food in great detail. They also give complimentary soup which has a lot of spices and flavour. The soup being complimentary is similar to other African restaurants that I have been to, but it’s still a nice surprise. In terms of food, all of them are worth trying and their lamb shank stands out the most. Note that they often run out of the lamb so I recommend coming here early. The KK option is also great. All of their items are really affordable as well. I’d give it 9.3/10 for the service, quality, portion, and price of the food.

Was invited to try it out by a Somalian friend and i do not regret it! We got the beef and chicken suqaar combo and it was DELICIOUS, portions were amazing and I'd highly recommend it to everyone! Service was amazing too.

First time and I came because google had great reviews!! They did not disappoint. I wanted to try something new and different and this was a great place to do so! I have the lamb with rice and it amazing. The meat so tender fell off the bones. Never had anything like this before10/10. The rice was amazing with the veggies. The portions were so BIG tbh 2 people could share the rice. My wife tried the fish and she enjoyed it. We ended up also trying the beef suhar as it was recommended on google review this was also really good! I really appreciate them! Best African food for me. So much flavor and so tender. Must try!!!!

super comforting and friendly! the food is delicious and feels homemade & good quality. there is a flavorful complimentary soup! we got Lamb Shank and Chicken Shawarma. each was $17.50 and pretty big portions. the hostess was very friendly and welcoming. i would recommend this place to anyone and would go again to try their other items on the menu :)))

Wow, this place is so delicious. $20 for a huge portion of rice with salad and amazing meat. I had the goat curry and it was perfect. The decor is lovely too, very atmospheric. Really wholesome, tasty food at a great price, and it's always good to support a local business.
